My name is Laura. Let me tell you a little bit about myself.
For over 15 years, I've been deeply involved in teaching English, with a particular focus on preparing students for the IELTS exam. While IELTS has been my main subject, I've also had the privilege of assisting international students in earning higher certificates and diplomas in further education colleges.
Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to design courses and assessments tailored to the needs of aspiring test-takers. This diverse experience has deepened my understanding of educational planning and assessment design, equipping me with the skills needed to offer thorough support to my students.
I've enjoyed all these avenues of teaching but what I enjoy most is teaching IELTS - it is not just a profession for me; it's a passion. I firmly believe in the transformative power of the IELTS exam, as it opens doors to new opportunities for individuals seeking to further their education or pursue career advancements. Witnessing my students succeed in their IELTS journey, and subsequently in their academic and professional pursuits, is incredibly rewarding.
Qualifications
I have a certificate in teaching English from Trinity College London, which means I’ve received professional training to teach English.
I’ve earned an Honours degree in English Language which has provided me with a solid foundation in linguistic theory and language pedagogy.
